Eleanor Burns Block Party 2010 - Strip Tzz
Second Tuesday of every month 10 am or 6:30 pm. $72/year. Each month I will have a different quilt pattern, using 2½” Strips (Jelly Rolls), 1 ½” Strips (Honey Buns), 10” Squares (Layer Cakes), 5” Squares (Charms) or other scraps I have fi lling up my sewing room. This is going to be fun, all of us sewing and using up our mountains of scraps! Every month you will receive a full color pattern booklet with the design and technique for that month. By year end, you will have 12 patterns that you can use over and over again to make pretty quilts! Sign up for block party today! It is $72.00 for thewhole year, that is just $6.00 per pattern!
Spring Shop Hop March 6-13
Come to San Diego County this spring and visit the hot spots – the Quilt Shops! Join us and be part of the Sixth Annual San Diego Cruisin’ Quilters Shop Hop! Enjoy the unique fl avor of each of the shops in the Hop and leisurely take a week to do it. The dates are Saturday, March 6th - 13th. The shops will remain open with extended hours, Monday through Saturday

Friday, March 19. $25. Join Quilt in a Day and our favorite farmer’s daughter, Eleanor Burns, as she pays tribute to rural America’s Barn Quilt Blocks. Today, there are numerous Barn Quilt Trails all over farmland USA. This fun tradition began in 2001 in Manchester, Ohio, where a woman painted a quilt block on the family’s barn to honor her mother, an avid quilter! Learn a variety of new techniques as Eleanor demonstrates how to make several pieced barn blocks, each with a miniature quilt block pattern. Come and join the fun as Eleanor does her farm chores and embellishes her barns with creative touches!
Spring Retreat at Camp Cedar Glen in Julian, CA
Monday, May 3 through Thursday, May 6. $385. Join Eleanor and the Quilt in a Day staff as we breathe in mountain air and quilt till we drop. This economical retreat is a great opportunity to start a Quilt in a Day new project or to fi nish up your UFO’s. Fee includes three nights of bunkhouse lodging and nine family style meals. Quilt in a Day teachers guide you through your sewing from 9 am to 8 pm, but you can sew all night if you want to. Don’t miss out on all the fun! Camp Cedar Glen is a Methodist residential camp, located next to the Volcan Mountain Reserve north east of San Diego.
